On 24th November, 2024, the 2024 Academic Annual Meeting of the Operational Research Society of Jiangsu Province was held in Wuxi, which set up for the first time the defence and evaluation of the Youth Science and Technology Award of the Science and Technology Award of the Operational Research Society of Jiangsu Province, and after a fierce competition, five winners were finally selected, and two teachers of our college, Chen Hongqiao and Jim Yang, were successfully selected. Chen Hongqiao won the award for ‘Research on Pricing Problems under Complex Scenarios’. Aiming at the complex and changing scenarios and uncertain demand in reality, this achievement has made a series of innovative results by applying the theoretical tools of game theory, optimisation theory and robust optimisation at both micro and macro levels, and conducted some researches on the pricing problem under the incomplete information of the consumers, the dynamic pricing problem considering the strategic consumers, and the pricing problem under the new type of business model, etc. These results are published in academic journals such as Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Production and Operations Management, Naval Research Logistics, and so on. Jim Yang won the award for ‘Algorithmic Research on Equilibrium Solutions in Game Problems’. The results are based on the theoretical and algorithmic research of equilibrium price in market equilibrium model and two-two stable network in network formation game, and the relevant papers have been published in Mathematical Programming, INFORMS Journal on Computing, Journal of Mathematical Economics and other academic journals.
